MEET OUR OWNER AND CHEF
In 2025, Executive Chef Christian Mayo assumed ownership of Homestyle Restaurant. A Vermont native, Christian has always been driven by a deep respect for local ingredients and a commitment to showcasing the farms, seasons, and community that make this region special. His journey with Homestyle began in 2015 when he joined the team as Sous Chef. Through dedication and hard work, he rose to Executive Chef and ultimately Owner—continuing the legacy he helped build from the kitchen up.
Rooted in the true meaning of “homestyle”—thoughtfully made, simple, and unpretentious—Christian creates dishes that are both comforting and refined. He prioritizes high-quality, seasonal ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers whenever possible, embracing a genuine farm-to-table philosophy that honors tradition, craftsmanship, and sense of place.
Our seasonal menu highlights handmade pastas, comfort dishes, and hearty entrées, all prepared within the walls of our historic colonial home. Whether dining in our welcoming main dining room, gathering in one of our private spaces, or enjoying the fresh air on our seasonal porch, guests are invited to experience warm hospitality and honest food that truly feels like home.
